Madagascar: A fun animated family comedy. When Marty the zebra decides he wants to see the world from outside the zoo, the penguins help him escape. O Marty is gone, his friend also breaks out, to find him and bring him home. Once out, they are captured by well meaning humans and shipped to Africa, to be returned to the wild. They miss Africa, and wind up on the magical island of Madagascar.

Payday: Acerbic, vibrant picture of life on the street with a conceited, selfish country and western music megastar, a jerk who calls on his supervisor to "fix" some complications that crop up during the concert tour. One of those prototypical early1970s films that makes modern American movie theater come across bland. Cast includes Rip Torn, Anna Capri, Cliff Emmich, and Michael C. Gwynne. (103 minutes, 1973)

Betrayed: A radio talk show host is murdered in Chicago. A radical white supremacist group takes responsibility for the act, and the FBI assigns Catherine Phillips to go undercover so they can investigate the group. While undercover, she falls in love with the man that might be responsible for the murder, and has to cope with the issues that go with this complex situation. She believes he is innocent, but also has a job to do.

Stakeout: When performing with his companion on a stakeout, cop Dreyfuss falls in love with the female he's assumed to be observing. The movie is wildly implausible and eventually downright stupid; however amusing all the way through, as a result of acute discussion and behaviors, and some gigantic chuckles. Dreyfuss and Estevez make a incredible tea Cast includes Written by Jim Kouf. Muse Concert: Paper-slim although cute romantic comedy in reference to a cleaned-up '80s pop megastar (Permit) who's shown with a gigantic crack-getting to perform a primordial melody with a modern-day music megastar (Bennett) if he might only find a lyricist with whom he could work with. She appears in the doubtful individual of a ditzy lady who's assumed to take care of the plants in his N.Y.C. condo. Permit is at his best, throwing off a constant flow of ludicrous lines. (96 minutes, 2007)Cast includes Hugh Permit, Drew Barrymore, Brad Garrett, Kristen Johnston, Campbell Scott, and Haley Bennett.

Hillbilly?s in a Haunted House: Nation singers Husky and Lansing invest a day in an old mansion, become engaged with an espionage ring. Here?s a Lame comedy with an older, exhausted cast; Remorseful to affirm, Rathbone's last film. Cast includes Ferlin Husky, Joi Lansing, Don Bowman, John Carradine, Merle Haggard, and Sonny James. (88 minutes, 1967)

Mr. Peabody and The Mermaid: Gentle comedy-fantasy by Nunnally Johnson has its minutes, with unsuspecting Powell finding a pleasant mermaid when fishing. Powell makes anything look excellent. Cast includes William Powell, Ann Blyth, Irene Hervey, Andrea Emperor, and Clinton Sundberg. (89 minutes, 1948)

Man On Fire: John Creasy is a burned out former CIA operative who has lost his joy for life. He takes a job as bodyguard for a nine years old girl named Pita, in Mexico City, due to the outbreak in kidnappings of the children of wealthy families there. HE is all business, but eventually Pita wins him over, and he has become emotionally connected to the small child. When she is kidnapped, he is driven like no man before to recover the poor child.

The Border: Boundary watcher Nicholson, incited on by money-thirsty significant other Perrine, starts taking payoffs from unlawful Mexican foreigners he's assumed to be arresting, ultimately gets to be spiritually engaged with youthful mom Carrillo. Cast and tale line ask for Sam Peckinpah in his prime; softly fascinating, although on no account seriously takes off. Cast includes Jack Nicholson, Harvey Keitel, Valerie Perrine, Warren Oates, and Elpidia Carrillo. (107 minutes, 1982)
